BRIEF ABOUT: The new Coagula Curatorial gallery opens with two shows: Coney Island of the Mind with more than 100 paintings, drawings and assemblage pieces works by Tim Youd.

     Beuys in the Basement is an exhibition of 30 never before seen photographs of artist Josef Beuys taken in the 1960s by the late German émigré photographer Michael Montfort.   

     First published in April 1992, the Coagula Art Journal was founded by writer Mat Gleason. With more than 100 published issues, the bimonthly print journal gained notoriety as a no-holds critique of contemporary art and the art world.
