Funnyman is sure to humor the goers

(AAPNW) – Coming to the Clay Center in Charleston, West Virginia on Friday, October 8 at 8:00 pm, David Sedaris, author of “Barrel Fever”, “Holidays on Ice”, and a collection of personal essays, “Naked”, “Me Talk Pretty One Day”, “Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim”, and “When You Are Engulfed in Flames” each became a bestseller. There are a total of 7 million copies of his books in print and they have been translated into 25 languages. His latest book released this September, “Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiary” is his first full collection of fiction.

His original radio pieces can often be heard on “This American Life” which is distributed nationally by Public Radio International and produced by WBEZ.  Also, he has been nominated for three Grammy Awards for Best Spoken Word and Best Comedy Album. His latest audio recording of new stories is “David Sedaris: Live for Your Listening Pleasure.”  The Chicago Tribune says “Sedaris’s droll assessment of the mundane and the eccentrics who inhabit the world’s crevices make him one of the greatest humorists writing today.”

No photography is permitted while Sedaris autographs in the grand lobby after the show.  For tickets, see: www.theclaycenter.org, call 304.561.3570 or in person at the Box Office.
