Two unite in dual show

ASL-LAWSArtSpace/Lima and the Lima Area Watercolor Society will hold their first-ever joint juried exhibit from Saturday, June 14, 2014 with a public opening reception from 6:30-8:30 pm, in the Ellen Nelson Gallery, where the awards will be presented at 7:15 pm. The show remains on view through July 26, 2014.

     The Lima Area Watercolor Society was organized in 1986 by watercolor artist Annabelle Vandemark and four of her students. The society has been instrumental in elevating awareness, about watercolor techniques and processes.

  Yuki Hall   Juror Yuki Hall, http://yukihall.artspan.com , is an impressionist watercolorist who has won many awards in local, regional and national juried competitions and exhibitions, such as from the Western Ohio Watercolor Society, Ohio Watercolor Society and Cincinnati Art Club ViewPoint.  

  SONY DSC   Juror Christopher Leeper, http://christopherleeper.com, is a full-time artist and an adjunct in the Department of Art at Youngstown State University. Additionally, Leeper is the the author of “Realism in Watermedia”, which was published by North Light, an operating entity of F+W Media, publishers of quality fine art books. His work has also been featured in several books and publications, including the Artist’s Magazine, American Artist and Ohio Magazine.
