Mike Huffman: Till Now
BRIEF ABOUT: A reception for the artist and this exhibit will be from 6:30-8:30 pm on opening in the Ellen Nelson Gallery. As artist Huffman’s new solo exhibit, it will feature 31 paintings from the last fifteen years, including works from the Martyrs and Blues and Jazz series. In those fifteen years, Huffman has made it a priority to do paintings in series, thereby providing each with the context of the others in the series. Much of his work makes a statement about the question of race in America over the last century. Other works celebrate and commemorate various aspects of American culture.
