(AAPNW-IN) – Marking its 10th anniversary, the Clay Bowl Giving Project will not only celebrate its milestone on Thursday, April 21, but also some new additions to the agenda. At both lunch and dinner meals, which will be held at YWCA in Lafayette, goers will can meet the contributing potters as well as watch pottery demonstrations; alcohol beverages can be purchased during the evening meal and Dr. Fine & d’Gleet will provide live acoustic music.
Scott Frankenberger and about 20 other local potters make hundreds of clay bowls and donate them, which raises funds for the YWCA Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention Program (DVIPP). Those who buy a lunch or dinner can take home a clay bowl that will serve as an everyday reminder of the many victims and survivors of domestic violence in our community.
