Art-to-Art Palette Journal

A show dear to the human heart

RAPID CITY, SD (PNAN) On view through March 8, 2017 in the Dahl Arts Center (www.thedahl.org), works by Dede Farrar are on view in “Animal Attraction” –  an exhibit of paintings that focuses on animals that have close relationships with humans, including pets, wildlife and working animals found on farms and ranches. An artist’s reception is on Friday, January 13 from 5:00-7:00 pm.

Using rich acrylic colors and textures, Farrar’s representational approach to these animals helps viewers to see these relationships in new ways. Her goal is simply to enable her audience to find peace, intellectual stimulation, beauty and happiness through the fruits of her artistic labor.
