Set for Thursday, February 19, 2015 in the Cyclorama Gallery Room I at the Dahl Arts Center in Rapid City, South Dakota, Professor Emeritus from Black Hills State University and Art Historian, Richard Hicks will talk on his collection of Japanese Ukiyo-e woodblock prints currently on exhibit in the Dahl Shaver Gallery through March 7.
In addition to explaining the process and the subject matter of this art form, Hicks will share how his grandfather came to be curator for Charles Freer, an internationally known art collector who traveled to Japan to collect these prints.
