“day dreaming of a work in progress” 2021, acrylic on plexiglass, 32 x 41 inches by Natalya Burd.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (PNAN) – Going on view at Jack Fischer Gallery on Saturday, November 6, 2021, travel diaries” by Natalya Burd is an exhibit of works that pays homage to and a travelogue of our natural world.

“By using intense color saturation and playing with the reflective quality of the colored plexiglass and the mirror, I push the boundaries of flat surfaces, creating a shimmering atmosphere that evokes the gleams of passing moments in time,” writes artist Burd. “In my work, I depicted the relationship between past and present. Working with Plexiglas material at a large scale gives me the opportunity to play with illusion and perspective to recreate the experience of being inside of nature and prompts viewers to take time to reflect on their lives and appreciate the natural world around them.”
