Artist’s work tells the story

WASHINGTON, D.C. (PNAN) – On view through December 2021 at Connersmith, located within blocks of the Smithsonian, the “Kenny Hunter: Black Swan” exhibition showcases Hunter’s bronze sculpture, a painted bronze, 33 x 14 x 14 inches.

“For many years now my work has addressed animal consciousness and used animal imagery to represent types of human behavior through art and storytelling. The Black Swan metaphor describes any event that is seemingly impossible, unexpected, and has an extreme impact.” says artist Hunter.

The gallery, Connnersmith specializes in contemporary and post-war art which promotes art that contributes to important art-historical movements, with particular focuses on innovations in color-field abstraction, figural realism, and current discourses on race, gender and social justice.

“Black Swan events extend to almost everything in our world, from the success of ideas and religions, to the dynamics of historical events, fashion, art movements and many elements of our personal lives. In a world of increasingly accelerated change we are all learning to adapt to the impact of the highly improbable,” added Hunter.
