Their mission is: “Relentless pursuit of optimal health for every child within our reach.” Their vision is: “Reinventing the path to children’s health for families throughout our region and beyond.” And every day, Safety, Compassion, Ownership, Collaboration, Innovation and among others is the Value chart the Dayton Children’s Hospital follows to provide the best care possible to our patients and their families.
Of course, there are other methods which are visually prominent which provide an active role in healing and some of them are the artworks by Dan Knepper that grace the walls of the Springboro, Huber Heights and the eight-story tower lobbies and offices. “I am much honored to have thirty-seven in their collection,” said artist Knepper.
Recent works accepted are: “Dogs & Kites” where his noted hamster, Scout makes a special appearance. “Raccoons” is a suave fellow on the purple umbrella based on Gene Kelly’s lamp post pose in “Singing in the Rain” movie. “Bunnies” is a work of wild rabbits that eats at Dan’s feet every morning and evening as well as the kiddie rides at Cedar Point.
