Beathelier works to go on view

Nuvola Dress, 2017, acrylic on fabric, 75 3/5 × 71 7/10 inches, Ewa Beathelier.

PALM BEACH, FL (AAPJ) – Recently closed for about five months, the Galleria Ca’ d’Oro at 179 10th Avenue is open and upcoming exhibition, “Deeper Blue” will feature the latest works by Ewa Beathelier on Saturday, August 15, 2020.

In collaboration with Chase Edwards Contemporary Gallery, Bridgehampton, Bathelier’s (b.1962, Polish) experience as a costume and set designer in the theater is clearly reflected in her signature acrylic paintings.

Having spent her adult life in France, the artist focuses on one of the country’s most famous cultural exports, specifically ballet attire. Light, free-floating and symbolic, the primavera dresses, leotards and tutus, she depicts are thrown into relief by their monochrome backgrounds, though the garments conspicuously lack the bodies that are meant to inhabit them.

Only 20 people will be allowed inside the gallery at any given time and face masks are required. Contact the gallery at 212.620.0549 or email: info@galleriacadoro.com for more information as well as arrange your viewing.
