RAPID CITY, SD (AAPJ) – The Rapid City Arts Council (RCAC) has set an exhibition, “The World From My Side” of recent monoprints and oil paintings by Roger Broer in the Brennan of the Dahl Arts Center, opening Friday, July 17 through October 17, 2020.
As an artist with a self-described short attention span, Broer has always found the immediacy of monotype to be a comfortable process for his way of working. In this new body of work, visitors will still be able to recognize the artist’s signature style of incorporating animal and human characters into his creative world.
Sometimes they occupy their own world and sometimes they crossover into each other’s space. We can also still look to Broer’s titles, to find hints into the content of his work.
