(AAPNW-WV) – Former U.S. President John F. Kennedy said, “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.” Another icon, playwright George Bernard Shaw said, “Some men see things as they are and say, “Why?” I dream of things that never were and say, “Why not?” On Saturday, November 27, Director Adam Bryan of the Alban Arts and Conference Center in St. Albans, West Virginia is putting both of these icon’s sayings to test.
As St. Albans’ historic Olde Main Street continues its growth as an arts community, The Alban will unveil in a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, November 27 at 6:00 pm the official opening of the new Alban Art Gallery. Aside from the special pricings on art during this Grand Opening, several local artists will be speaking about and answering questions on their artworks.
Director Bryan will be also presenting The Alban’s new website and demonstrating its many new interactive options, including its live chat feature with the art center. In addition, the 2011 theatre schedule about its five shows is on the talk agenda as well as other forthcoming programming in the next year. “I formally invite all to discover the great things happening on Olde Main,” said Bryan.
