(AAPNW-IN) Organized by the Women’s Creative Writing Group of Lafayette, Indiana, the program, “An Afternoon to Write About” is open to all on Saturday, December 4 from 1:30-3:30 pm, to be held at the Wells Community Cultural Center, located at 638 North Street.
“We want to bring together writers and those who are interested in writing, so we can connect with each other and share our ideas, energy, enthusiasm and support,” said member Kathy Mayer. “Writing itself is a lonely activity, so getting together with other writers can be helpful and even invigorating.”
A graduate of John Hopkins University, since 1987 Henley has been a professor in the Department of English at Purdue University and is the author of two novels, “Hummingbird House,” a National Book Award finalist, and “In the River Sweet,” including a published collection of short stories. Currently, she is now writing a play.
