Celtic tunes to fill airways

Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum international musical group Celtic Woman brings its new live show, Ancient Land, to Lima, Ohio at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 12 at 7:30 pm at the Crouse Performance Hall in Veterans Memorial Civic Center.

Ancient Land features the vocal talents of Mairéad Carlin, Éabha McMahon and introduces newest member, Megan Walsh along with Tara McNeill on fiddle, accompanied by an orchestra and a full Irish band of drums and pipes, whistles, singers and dancers.

     The new album, “Ancient Land” was released in November 2018, features 18 songs new to Celtic Woman, including original compositions “Follow Me,” “Be Still” and “Love & Honour,” some instrumental Irish traditional songs, such as  “Sive,” “Mná na hÉireann” (Women of Ireland), and “Moorlough Shore” as well as some reimagined workings of contemporary songs: “Long Journey Home,” ”Going Home” and “Homeland.”
