(NWPR-IN) – Through mid January 2011, more than 30 local and regional artists have their works on view at the Hagerstown Arts Place Center. Jewelry, pottery, drawings, paintings as well as books by local authors are some of the mediums being exhibited by many, including Mary Ann Davis, Corrine Hull as well as Mary McCoy, Charlie Davis and Jackie Baker, who are students at Arts Place.
Free painting sessions will start again on January 22, with class hours beginning at 2:00 pm for absolute beginners, and from 3:00-6:00 pm for intermediate students. “All materials are supplied free, thanks to an enabling grant from the Wayne County Foundation,” said AP’s Director Tom Butters.
Located in the historic Odd Fellows Building at 96 East Main in Hagerstown, Arts Place is open from 1:00-6:00 pm, Wednesday through Saturday, and on Sunday, noon to 5:00 pm.
