(NWPR) – Opening Friday, September 17 at ArtSpace/Lima with an artist’s reception between 6:30-8:30 pm, the show “For The Fire: Makers of Wood-Fired Ceramics and Selections from Their Collections” will feature works by Midwest ceramists who work with wood-fired kilns. In addition, the artists have each selected a piece with special meaning from their personal collections.
Other artists exhibiting are: Dick Lehman and Mark Goertzen, Goshen, Indiana; Mark Nafziger of Brush Creek Pottery at Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio; John Balistreri, Professor of Art in Ceramics and head of the 3D studios at Bowling Green State University; Cary Hulin of Holmes County Pottery in Big Prairie, Ohio; Kirk Mangus, Professor of Art, and Eva Kwong, adjunct faculty, both at Kent State University.
