Champs honored by UW

“United Way and communities around the world wouldn’t be where we are today without the passion and partnership of these corporate leaders and their employees,” said Brian Gallagher, president and CEO, United Way Worldwide. “They are helping us scale impact around the world and create opportunities for a brighter future and a better life for all people.”

    

     The first company to raise $1 billion in contributions to United Way was UPS, including its employees. Their focused efforts were on education and financial stability. The company also holds an annual eBay auction, leveraging their sports and entertainment connections to raise funds for United Way. UPS has also been an early champion for United Way’s global expansion, ensuring more people and communities would be strengthened for generations to come.

    

     Aside from UPS, ten other companies were chosen as 2014’s “Outstanding Strategic Partners,” for also their long-term commitment, not only for their employee participation, but also for their leadership, giving and volunteering which has and is making a strong impact to improve lives and communities.

3M, AT&T, Bank of America, Deloitte LLP, GE, P&G,

Publix Super Markets, Target, Walmart and Wells Fargo.
