Chocolate Sea Salt Toffee

Chocolate, toffee and sea salt melts in your mouth leaving an amazing mixture of sweet and salty. No one can deny the tantalizing flavor of this candy.

What you will need:

Candy thermometer

10”x 16” pan with 1/2” sides

Large non-stick pot

Wooden Spoon

Aluminum Foil

Small gift boxes

Ingredients:

2 cups granulated sugar

4 sticks butter

3 cups dark chocolate chips

3 tbsp sea salt

Melt butter in pot on stove top. Place thermometer at the side of pot. Add sugar and stir with wooden spoon.

Bring to boil and stir until candy thermometer reaches 300 degrees.

Line the pan with aluminum foil and grease well with a stick of butter. Pour the mixture into the pan and let cool for 30 minutes.

Melt chocolate in a microwaveable bowl until melted. Spread chocolate on top of toffee.

Sprinkle sea salt on top of chocolate layer.

Completely cool by putting pan in a refrigerator or leave on a countertop for at least 2 hours. Break into bite-size pieces.

These delights will also make a thank you gift. Just place pieces in small boxes that have been lined with wax paper and add a bow or colorful string ribbons.
