Classical rockers to give legends life

     (NWPR-OH) –Old and new Beatles fans now can experience a live show on Saturday, November 20 in the comfort of a Schuster Center concert hall, as the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra debuts its “Rockin’ Orchestra” series with the Classical Mystery Tour.

     Featuring Jim Owen (John Lennon) on rhythm guitar, piano, and vocals; Tony Kishman (Paul McCartney) on bass guitar, piano, and vocals; John Brosnan (George Harrison) on lead guitar and vocals; and Chris Camilleri (Ringo Starr) on drums and vocals, the Classical Mystery Tour  will feature a Beatles songbook that spans from “A Hard Day’s Night” to “The Long and Winding Road” to Paul and John’s solo classics like “Live and Let Die” and “Imagine.”  Arranger Martin Herman transcribed the musical scores used in the concert note-for-note from the original Beatles recordings.

     Other concerts in the 2010-2011 “Rockin’ Orchestra” series include One of These Nights: Music of the Eagles on January 22, 2011 and The Symphony Rocks: Music of Led Zeppelin on April 2, 2011.  Season Tickets range from $66 to $192 and can be ordered in the same ways as single tickets.
