(AAPNW-TN) – As one of Ireland’s finest classical ensembles, Camerata Ireland is also known for its fresh approach and musicality. Under the direction of founder and pianist Barry Douglas, they will perform at 7:00 pm on Monday, March 7 at Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
“The word Camerata means ‘a group of friends’ and reflects a unified Ireland,” said Douglas. “This group plays with such vibrancy and expressivity. I like to show off those talents.”
Hailed by the press for enthralling performances that brim with musicality and the “sensuality, charm and impulse of the best world-level ensembles,” the group brings Irish musicians together to celebrate Ireland and its wealth of musical talent.
At their Nashville engagement, they will perform several works by Mozart, along two enchanting nocturnes by Irish-born composer John Field.
Tickets are available at www.NashvilleSymphony.org and are priced from $19- $59. For more information, please call 615.687.6400.
