TITLE: Brasov International Film Festival & Market

BRIEF ABOUT: An eleven-day first annual film festival in Brasov’s  historical center at locations as the Dramatic Theater, including free public screenings will also take place throughout the festival period in the Council Square of the old city. Film submissions are open from around the world and there is no submission fee. All films must be feature length, nonviolent, spoken in English or with English subtitles. Nine feature films will be selected in competition.

     About: Romania is located between Central and Southeastern Europe, which became an official member of the European Union on January 1, 2007. Brasov has a population of  approximately 280,000, who speak one or more languages: English, French, German and Hungarian. In addition, Brasov, a resort city, is labeled the “Green Capital of Romania” and is located in the central part of the country, north of the capital city Bucharest. It is also surrounded by the Southern Carpathians and it is part of the Transylvania region.
