(AAPNW) – Coming to the Clay Center in Charleston, West Virginia on Friday, October 8 at 8:00 pm, David Sedaris, author of âBarrel Feverâ, âHolidays on Iceâ, and a collection of personal essays, âNakedâ, âMe Talk Pretty One Dayâ, âDress Your Family in Corduroy and Denimâ, and âWhen You Are Engulfed in Flamesâ each became a bestseller. There are a total of 7 million copies of his books in print and they have been translated into 25 languages. His latest book released this September, âSquirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiaryâ is his first full collection of fiction.
    His original radio pieces can often be heard on âThis American Lifeâ which is distributed nationally by Public Radio International and produced by WBEZ.  Also, he has been nominated for three Grammy Awards for Best Spoken Word and Best Comedy Album. His latest audio recording of new stories is âDavid Sedaris: Live for Your Listening Pleasure.â  The Chicago Tribune says âSedarisâs droll assessment of the mundane and the eccentrics who inhabit the worldâs crevices make him one of the greatest humorists writing today.â
