Graduates to show their works

 

On Saturday, April 13, 2019, the annual exit show for the graduating Master of Fine Arts students at the Lamar Dodd School of Art goes on view at the Georgia Museum of Art and at the Deupree Building in Athens.

Graduating candidates are able to exhibit their work in various areas of study, including painting and drawing, fabric design, photo and video, printmaking, sculpture/fibers, jewelry/metals and ceramics.

This year’s students showing at the Museum are: Dimelza Broche, Catherine Chang, Sydney Daniel, Sanaz Haghani, Yiran Liu, Esther Lee Mech, Guadalupe Navarro and Jennifer Niswonger.

MFA students showing at Deupree Building in downtown Athens at 458 E. Clayton Street  are: Justin Barker, Amanda Britton, Shawn Campbell, Catherine Clements, Lindy Erkes, Yusheng Fang, Matthew Flores, William Major, Kimberly McWhorter, Lauren O’Connor-Korb, Paula Runyon and Taylor Shaw.

Both exhibitions run the same dates and will hold opening receptions on Friday, April 12, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Georgia museum and 8:00 to 10:00 pm at the Deupree Building. All candidates will participate in MFA Speaks on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.
