BILOXI, MS (PNAN) – Closing on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art is an exhibition by oil painter and observer of nature for over 50 years, painter Jerry Mauldin.
“In each of my creations, I try to improve my artistic style by fine-tuning the relationships between all the components required to produce a convincing and pleasing peace of art,” expressed the artist.
His creativity is influenced in the beauty of nature, which can be seen in his peaceful landscape paintings. “I want viewers to come away from my paintings with feelings of peace and serenity,” says Mauldin. Spirituality is also reflective in his picturesque landscapes.
In his still life works, he expresses the simple power of composition, perspective, light, shade and shadow. The awareness of color and light are also visually apparent in his depictions of fruit, florals and Oriental-theme artworks.

For over a half-century, painter Jerry Mauldin has exhibited his work in various entities like, American Fine Arts Gallery and Adel Hunt Gallery in Texas; West End Gallery and The Pink Rooster in Mississippi. He has studied under a host of artists such as, Addie White, A.D. Greer, Jack Bryant, Jim Goudie, Don Cincone, and Gary Lynn Roberts.
