(AAPNW-OH) – The Akron Art Museum teams up with the Akron-Summit County Public Library and Summit Artspace for a day of free family events during October’s Sunday Sampler.
At the Akron Art Museum, open 11:00 am5:00 pm, free gallery admission, including admission to the special exhibitions, “Detroit Disassembled: Photographs by Andrew Moore” and “Arctic Re-visions: Isaac Julien’s True North.” For more information, call 330.376.9186×230 or see www.AkronArtMuseum.org. Parking is free in the municipal parking garage across from the entrance of the museum.
The Akron-Summit County Public Library opens from 1:00-5:00 pm. In the Special Collections Department, the “Getting Started in Family History” exhibit on display. There will also be “Crafts to Go” in the 3rd floor Teen Division, as well as “Story Time Sampler” in the Children’s Library at 2:00 pm. Summit Artspace open from 1:00-5:00 pm with the feature exhibit, “Making Visible” in the Taylor Galleries with works of Annette Boncek, Maria Alejandra Zanetta and Jeffrey Eason, as well as an exhibition of paintings and artwork by Akron Society of Artists members.
