Going on view, Monday, January 12, through February 13, 2015, “Seasons of the Soul 2015” will be works by Teresa Koenig of Lafayette, Indiana at the Portland Center of Arts Place in Portland, Indiana.
Koenig is a mixed media, sculptural artist with an emphasis in clay. Her journey as an artist became a direct reflection of her spiritual journey. “I have found inspiration in nature ever since I can remember. My parents always encouraged me to play outside, and my love for the outdoors has evolved into a key part of who I am, both as a person and as an artist,” said Koenig.
Her exhibit is a reflection on the interactions of individuals as they progress through different seasons of their lives. “Just as nature moves forward through changing seasons, so does each individual. Seasons of the Soul reveals a window to the soul of several different individuals as they journey through the ever changing seasons of their lives. It allows the viewer to reflect on how these seasons are sculpted through all of life’s interactions. For everything there is a season,” said Koenig.
