Maple Syrup on tap at Camp Palmer

FAYETTE, OH (NWPR) – Tucked in the woods next to Harrison Lake State Park, 4-H Camp Palmer has scheduled an event on Sunday, March 17, 2019 for visitors to learn about maple syrup making from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

    The other activities offer to ride on horse-drawn wagons, have brunch in the camp’s dining hall, view a history lesson at either noon or 1:00 pm in the Sauder Recreation Hall, view the maple trees which have been tapped and watch the syrup making in the main camp. In addition, the nature center will be open for visitors to see and touch a variety of reptiles.

The brunch is free for ages 3 and under and $6.00 for other ages for the pancakes, sausage with drink. This small fee goes to support funding the purchase of high ropes equipment for the camp.
