‘Money-maker’ new to the payroll

Former Spartanburg’s Hope Center for Children as the Director of Development Lisa A. Hemond of Inman, South Carolina became the Senior Development Director for the Chapman Cultural Center. Her responsibilities include the management and execution of all fundraising activities.

Hemond holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from USC Upstate and she obtained her Certification of Fund Raising Executives in 2015.  She is also a board member with Business Professional Women, where she is Vice President of Membership. Her other professional associations include being the Chairperson for National Philanthropy Day with the Piedmont Chapter of Fundraising Professionals and a 2013 alumna of Leadership Spartanburg.

     “Chapman Cultural Center is an amazing asset to Spartanburg, and I am thrilled that I get to be a part of telling the story of all the ways this organization is enriching the lives of citizens of our community,” she said. “My personal philosophy in fundraising is making sure our supporters and stakeholders know how very thankful we are for their support and making sure I am always listening to the needs of the community and our supporters.”
