(AAPNW) – On Saturday, September 25, Governor Joe Manchin, along with fellow West Virginia motorcyclists, will ride their ‘hogs’ in a Fall motorcycle ride tour beginning in Charleston that will include stops for breakfast at the Glenn Farris Inn in Gauley Bridge and dinner at Smokey’s on the Gorge in Fayetteville. The multi-county motorbike trip will cover more than 350 miles.
The bike tour also will include stops at a Noon event in Marlinton for the West Virginia Autumn Harvest Festival/Roadkill Cookoff and at the Cass Harvest Festival Day at 2:00 pm in Cass.
The complete Fall Tour Route is as follows: Departing 8:00 am from the Governor’s Mansion on U.S. Route 60 to the Glenn Farris Inn; after breakfast, on Route 60 to Gauley Bridge; from Gauley Bridge turn onto state Route 39 and to Richwood for State Route 39/55 to the intersection of state Route 150 (Scenic Highway); travel across Scenic Highway to U.S. Route 219 south and back to the intersection of state Route 39; turn onto state Route 39 into Marlinton to continue on 39 to the intersection of state Route 28; turn onto Route 28 to Cass; leave Cass on state Road 66 across Snow Shoe Mountain back to U.S. Route 219; turn south on U.S. Route 219 to Mill Point and turn onto state Route 39/55 to U.S. Route 19; travel U.S. Route 19 to Fayetteville for dinner; after dinner, turn left on state Route 16 and back to U.S. Route 60 and on to Charleston.
