Nagle supplies the ‘sleighs’

TOLEDO, OH- (AAPDN) Although an affiliate of the national organization, a special aura surrounds the community of Perrysburg, Ohio, one that has been supported, nourished and driven by the local U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. (https://perrysburg-oh.toysfortots.org)

The Program ‘s “primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.”

Most of us learned as children that sharing is a good thing. We didn’t know we were practicing philanthropy; we just knew that giving to other people or important causes made us feel good. Philanthropists of yesterday were not much different that they are today. They all have a driving desire to share what the world has graciously given them, not expecting reward or recognition.

To mention a few world renowned supporters of the Toys for Tots Program such as, Debbie Reynolds, Ronald Reagan, Bob Hope, First Lady Michelle Obama, Glenn Ford, James Garner, including Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse and Dennis the Menace,  however on the local level, the spotlight shines on Nagle Trucking (www.naglecompanies.com) that has provided its support for several decades.

Communities flourish and prosper all different ways, but it is the people who step forward by not only giving their financial support, but also their gift of time and expertise. Their participation validates the good that comes from sharing.
