New season brings ‘mills of art’

"Queen Anne" by Anita Tresslar

(NWPR-OH) – Through April 24, still life paintings by Anita Tresslar from the Dayton area share the spotlight with glass creations by Berry Davis and Collette Fortin of Neptune Hot Glass during Art at the Mill’s first of the season exhibit series.

“Berry and Collette are devoted to the preservation of the oceans and oceanic life. Their strikingly lovely work reminds people of the vanishing beauty to be found beneath the waves,” said Julie Clark of Bear’s Mill.  Fortin also designs fine jewelry from gold, sterling silver, brass, and copper.

Artist Tresslar spent ten years as a registered nurse before returning to school to earn her Fine Arts degree. She is drawn to the organic shapes and colors of flowers, fruit and vegetables. “Her still lifes attain a vibrant life of their own,” expressed Clark.
