Timeless Beauty: World Heritage Sites of Japan
BRIEF ABOUT: A photography exhibition of 67 images of world heritage sites in Japan, created by photographer Kazuyoski Miyoshi.
For more than 40 years, Miyoshi has been traveling regions all over the world, including the Maldives, Tahiti, Africa, India, and in recent years, the Himalayas and Antarctic Pole. He applies the theme “Rakuen,” or paradise, to the collection of photographs from his travels. Since 1999, The Japan Foundation has purchased these photos from Miyoshi, updating the collection as new sites are added to the list. The Japan Foundation offers the World Heritage photo panels to cultural and educational institutions throughout the United States to introduce the breadth of Japan’s cultural heritage and to share Japanese arts and culture.
