TITLE: Shifting Perspectives: In the Community
BRIEF ABOUT: Through the medium of photography and the lenses of four Ohio and one international photographer as well as in close collaboration with Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio, DAC has paired photographers with 13 local members of the Down syndrome community, creating images that challenge conventional attitudes and perceptions of identity and individuality, focusing on the everyday life experiences of individuals living with Down syndrome, providing a sensitive exploration of diversity in all of its permutations.
Editor’s note: The exhibition is supported by Cardinal Health, The Dublin Foundation, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Ohio Arts Council, a Franklin County Neighborhood Arts Grant from Greater Columbus Arts Council, CVS Caremark, the National Endowment for the Arts and the City of Dublin.
