RAPID CITY, SD (PNAN) – Opening on Friday, November 18, 2022 in the Inez & Milton Shaver Gallery of the Dahl Arts Center, “Signal Graces” is an exhibition of paintings by Ariadne Albright. An artist’s reception will be from 5:00-7:00 pm with an artist’s talk at 5:45 pm.

BIRD! mixed media, acrylic paint, heirloom fabric, rhinestones, feathers of Indian Ring Neck Parrot on wood panel, 2017, 12 x 17 inches, Ariadne Albright.

Each painting serves as a simple sign from daily life and records Ariadne’s communication of prayer. The artworks tells stories and meditations about learning on how to handle the hard things with joy: Courage above financial insecurities; the largesse of a new baby; stillness in the city under martial law; longing for home; dignity in suffering; delight in romance and recovery; the measured rage of temptations; beauty in pattern; and the path of worship.
