Peace Garden events all about art

     (PNAN-ND) –  “Creative Communities: The Art of the State of North Dakota,” is the biennial Statewide Arts Conference taking place on Tuesday, April 5 and Wednesday, April 6. Regardless if you are an artist, arts administrator, arts educator, or an arts advocate, the conference covers advocacy, marketing made easy, creating partnerships and collaborations, arts funding, community development through the arts, and other current topics of interest.

     Presenting the keynote address, “101 People You Should Know,” will be Anne Katz, Executive Director of Arts Wisconsin. Other highlights include Scott Wild of Wild Inspire, who will introduce CulturePulse and other electronic marketing techniques; Deana DeFoe, President of Five Fold Consulting will offer creative ways to build partnerships and collaborations; and much more, such as the launch of Arts North Dakota!      In other related events, the North Dakota Governor’s Awards for the Arts Dinner and awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 6 at the Radisson Hotel.

     This year honorees are the North Valley Arts Council, Grand Forks; Northern Lights Arts Council, Langdon and Sleepy Hollow Summer Theater of Bismarck in the Arts Organization category; Hardy Lieberg of Minot in the Individual Achievement category; and the Hotel Donaldson in the Private Business category.
