BLOOMINGTON, MN (PNAN) – Presented by Artistry, Gilding Light” is on view through Friday, December 30, 2021 in the Atrium Gallery at the Bloomington Center for the Arts. The exhibition features the work of Cynthia Fleury, an Eden Prairie local photographer.

Fleury approaches her photography carefully explores the line, shape, texture and composition of each scene and subject. Using a unique printing method, that incorporates metals and different colored metallic leaf, her photographs create a depth and mystique reminiscent of daguerreotype print, an earlier form of photographic print created in the 1830’s that also used metal in the processing.

“This gilded work takes the shape, light and form of my vision captured in my travels and creates an elegant metallic piece with a three-dimensional aspect reflecting light almost mystically,” says artist Fleury
