BEMIDJI, MI (PNAN) – Opening at the Watermark Art Center on Thursday, December 8, 2022, Gaa-miinigowiziyang “What We Were Given” is an exhibition featuring works by Manidoo Ogitigaan native artists and allies who are a grassroots organization based in Bemidji as well as connections spanning throughout the United States and Canada.

The show will feature works by the Manidoo Ogitigaan members from various backgrounds, who have relearned land based life skills that include, birch bark canoe building, basketry, woodworking and weaving.  The outcome has produced a revitalization of art forms and a cultural knowledge while bridging gaps, including building lasting relationships of a cultural legacy for generations.
