On Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the new home for the Lake Area Arts Group, students were shown the way by Erin Weirrick, director of the Auglaize-Mercer Arts Place in St. Marys, Ohio.
According to the LAAG Art Center Executive Director Sherry Chandler said, “What a fun class. Everyone went home with their own little fall pumpkin and a new interest in needle felting.”
Forthcoming workshops are planned and the group’s monthly meetings, which are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm, will be at the new Center. It has been through the philanthropic efforts of Kim and Vance Nation, LAAG now has a place to call home nestled along the Lake Rat Brewing and next door to Brew Nation, a noted eatery in the downtown.
A Grand Opening is slated for Saturday, October 9, 2021 during Celina’s Fall Festival and Art Walk. Chandler adds, “If you are interested in having your work displayed in our gallery, or for more information, please contact us at lakeareaartsgroup@gmail.com.”
