Realism at its finest

RAPID CITY, SD, (PNAN) – Charcoal drawings by Rachel Brownlee graces the walls of the Dahl Art Center’s Lobby Gallery in her exhibition, “Now, My Eyes See” through February 21, 2022.

This contemporary western art show of ten predominantly large-scale drawings are intensely detailed and realistic in approach that viewers are surprised to discover they’re not black and white photographs; in fact, artist Brownlee used her own horses, her neighbors and cattle from her family’s ranch as her subjects for these studies.
