Students to get a taste of class

childrenartscOn Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina, a student day camp, Go Pro!, will be conducted on Teacher Work Day.

Children ages 6-8 and 9-12 will spend the day rotating through programs at Ballet Spartanburg, Artists’ Guild of Spartanburg, Spartanburg Art Museum, Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra, and Spartanburg Regional History Museum.

“This is a great opportunity for children to experience some of the tremendous programming offered by each of these organizations,” says Spartanburg Art Museum Executive Director Elizabeth Goddard. “Our goal is to provide children with a well-rounded day that is really fun, impactful, and engaging. I can’t think of a better place for children to spend a day off from school than at Chapman Cultural Center. Go Pro! day camp is a wonderful partnership between five of the Partner organizations at Chapman. We hope this collaboration is the first of many different types of programs in the future.”
