Symphony has a new boss

     For the past five seasons, Elizabeth Brown has served as the Director of Marketing, Communications and External Affairs for the Lima Symphony Orchestra. She now wears a new ‘hat’ as the Executive Director of the Symphony. “I am both delighted and privileged to have this opportunity as the Lima Symphony Orchestra celebrates its 60th Anniversary Season,” said Elizabeth.  “I look forward to the vibrant possibilities ahead as we blend the strong leadership of the Board, the brilliant direction of Maestro Crafton Beck, our energized and talented musicians and our dedicated staff.  This is surely a Season to Celebrate.”

Elizabeth Brown     Ms. Brown is a Lima, Ohio native who holds a law degree and a master’s in International Affairs from American University in Washington, D.C. and a bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University.  Prior to her return to Lima, she worked as an international financial attorney at Shearman & Sterling in New York City for five years.

     New her new role, she will plan and direct the operations of the Lima Symphony Orchestra, including managing all human and financial resources of the LSO.  Brown will be responsible for all strategic planning, advocacy, community outreach, fundraising, budgetary, staffing and administrative activities carried on by the orchestra.
