Opening at Arts Place for Blackford County in Hartford City, Indiana on Monday, April 1, 2019, “Voyages-Near and Far” is work by Kathy Ayers. An opening reception on Saturday, April 6 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. with the artist will also be held in conjunction with the art center’s 6th Anniversary Celebration. The Windsong Flute Ensemble will provide musical entertainment.

Kathy Ayers is a full time teacher and an active artist. She is a winner of the Indiana Elementary Art Teacher of the Year award and a two time recipient of the Lilly Teacher Creativity Grants, as well as a published children’s book illustrator. She does works in both oil and acrylics to create realistic depictions of colorful vistas from her extensive travels.
