(NWPR-IN-OH) – The season of family gatherings where birds and bellies are stuffed, yuletide traditions of stockings hung, smooches under the mistletoe and goodwill to all are coming to Arts Place centers in Portland, Indiana and St. Marys, Ohio.
The Holiday Show 2010 exhibit featuring artwork by area artisans goes on view at Arts Place on Friday, November 12 with an artist’s reception on Saturday, November 13 from 5:30-7:30 pm. All is free and invited for this festive gala.
Another venue where the timing blends well and before the Portland AP artist’s reception is from 9:00 am-4:00 pm on Saturday, November 13. You are encouraged to take in the event at the Jay County High School, it is their 26th annual “Holiday Arts and Crafts Show” staged by the Xi Chapter of Delta Theta Tau. Among many, other activities include a bake sale and a luncheon served from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, as well as sandwiches and dessert will also be available in the afternoon. Proceeds from the show are used to fund the philanthropic projects in the community and admission to the show is only $2.00, 12 and under free.
In St. Marys, Ohio, AP’s Collective Center opens their Holiday Show 2010 on Friday, November 12 from 7:00-9:00 pm with a reception for the exhibiting artisans.
Perfect for holiday gifting, the show also features original hand-made of jewelry, pottery, woodworking, photography, oil and watercolor paintings and more. Works by Pam and Jerry Knoch, Ralph Stuckman, Anna Fisher, Mike Behr, Gene Knox, Kat Koeller, Cathy Jeffers, Linda Pulskamp, Pat Rayman, Barb Sailor, Deb Henkener, Lori Smith, Ruth Ann Sturgill, Toni Beener, Lisa Sullivan, Mike Elsass, Zach Medler, Sonja Brooks, Mark Twigg, Barb Stump, Gene Knox, Ralph Stuckman and others will be on display.
