Town ‘painted’ by area artists

(NWPR-OH)  – Artists like Chuck Marshall, Barbara Pask and Don Schuster have been out with their easels “painting the town” of Mason over the last six months, and on Saturday, December 11, these artists and others will be on hand at the “Gallery 42 Fine Art” to meet and greet from 4:00-8:00 pm.

According to Ellen Hyer Pearce of Gallery 42, “they are thrilled to put on a show celebrating Mason and the artists who have been working so diligently to paint it!”  The downtown and some adjacent blocks were the focal points. “A painting can really capture a moment in time and these artists should be lauded for their part in capturing the landmarks of present-day Mason.”

In addition, there will also be a display of pieces on loan from the Mason Historical Society of former Mason landmarks. Open to the general public, “Paint The Town” remains on view through December.

Gallery 42 is located on Main Street in historic downtown Mason, Ohio. It is open Monday-Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday, 11:00-3:00. They feature a variety of original artworks from local, regional and national artists, including a rotating show schedule and exhibits of a wide variety of art, photography, painting and multi-media pieces.
