TITLE: H.K. Anne – American Landscape Artist
BRIEF ABOUT: Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, this American landscape artist is based in the greater Washington D.C. region, H.K Anne’s paintings continue in the lineage set by the Hudson River Valley artists of the 19th century, however record the changing landscape in the 21st century and the emotional connection we have with our environment.
Many of the landscapes Anne paints have changed immensely is due to the climate change and natural disasters; thusly, so is the landscape, where Anne’s own interest in this ever-changing as well as the shrinking landscape is translated to the image on canvas by which she conveys a feeling rather than place recognition.
