BRIEF ABOUT: This is the first exhibition of works created during Glass Wheel’s inaugural Studio Artist Program. Works which show an impressive range of media are by Caitlin Blomstrom, Maggie Bush, Ali Feeney, Gayle Forman, Randy Hess, Hannah Kirkpatrick, Heidi Peelen, Charlotte Potter, Evelyn Robertson, Neal Robinson, Jennifer Sleeper, Amanda Page Stephens and Sarah Vaughn range from large-scale, linking historical paintings with timely political candidates, to stained glass that reveals a look into human anatomy as well as double-sided snow globes merging iconic cities across time and space and digital animations that question how to retain one’s identity in and after a relationship.
“This exhibition is truly a dialogue about art, and the range of conversations artists must have with themselves, their materials and ultimately their audience to actualize meaningful work,” said Cheryl White, director of Glass Wheel Studio. “The works in this show demonstrate the fierce commitment and ingenuity of all our artists. I am extremely proud of all they have accomplished in just six short months!”
