Visual bonds of humanity

ANCHORAGE, AK (AAPDN) – Currently on view at the Anchorage Museum through April 2018, “Neighbors: Portraits by John Raymond Mireles” are his photographs of people up-close, full of character and larger-than-life.

Throughout Mireles travels, his portraits captures the faces of America; thusly, documenting communities who make up our national identity, reminding us what it means to be a good neighbor as well as to help each other feel welcome, safe and recognized.

Included in this exhibit, Mireles photographed people of Anchorage in neighborhoods throughout the city.
